Pro Celebrity Golf & Jay Glaze - Three Sinister Syllables

I'm participating in a topic regarding albums considered masterpieces in their usage of samples. The obvious mentions are Paul's Boutique, Endtroducing, Since I Left You, etc., but there have been some interesting titles mentioned that I wasn't familiar with prior to entering this discussion. The one that really stood out to me is Three Sinister Syllables by Pro Celebrity Golf & Jay Glaze, a truly wonderous collection of record and film soundbytes chopped into a crazy DJ party. I wouldn't call it groundbreaking like any of the aforementioned titles, but it's insanely impressive to be certain and a helluva lot of fun to listen to! the best way to describe it would be "a giant bucket of hip-hop jumbulaya with something for everyone!"

Of course, I wanted to find more information about the individuals responsible for this excursion, but there wasn't much to find. Most mentions of the album talk about how great it is and mentioned the responsible parties had been making records like these for years, albeit far shorter in length, but not much was divulged otherwise. In the end, the official site for Chopped Herring Records, the label this was released on, seems to be the best bet, especially as they have begun to post a complete deconstruction of the sources used throughout the album. You should definitely head on over there and check it out and see if you can pick up a copy of this while you're over there too!

After hearing this, I knew I had to share it on the site as it's truly special. There are no track titles so just load it up or burn it off and play guess-the-sample while you enjoy a ridiculously deep trip down hip-hop-memory-lane.
