DJ Z-Trip & DJ P - Uneasy Listening, Volume 1

Two DJs, one tour, a crazy mixtape and only 1000 copies in existence! Well, only 1000 official copies, as it was bootlegged left and right on vinyl and CD, but most of the boots never got it right with gaps and multiple tracks combined into single files, making it hard to find proper copies, even if just for download. Z-Trip hosts a version of this on his site, but this is taken from a rip of an original CD and is a fresh V0 rip, so unless you have the FLAC rip or an original CD, this is as good as it gets!

Everyone probably knows who Z-Trip is, so apart from stating that I can't stand his loud mouth political stances and his complaints about mash-ups and DJ techniques, he's an incredible DJ whose work should be checked out. His site is pretty extensive so you should go there for more details. DJ P, he's a different story. He also has a detailed site and is known for excellent DJ abilities and production skills, but his name just isn't as recognized as Z-Trip. Born Danny Phillips, he is a 1999 DMC finalist and has released several of his own mixtapes including the excellent Hell On Wheels series. His resume runs deep, so you should just do yourself a favor and visit his site for details and samples.

In case you're reading this and thinking to yourself, why the hell should I download this?, just imagine an awesome mash-up of eighties hits over breakbeats and techno grooves that never seems to end! Madonna, Pink Floyd, Glen Campbell, Midnight Oil, Phil Collins, Metallica, Rush, Pat Benetar and more! Okay, maybe that doesn't sound so great, but take my word for it, it's a ton of fun and you'll likely find yourself listening to it for hours on end. So grab this and be honest with yourself, a lot of the stuff on here, no matter how cheesy it might be, it brings back memories and, in a controlled environment, can be a lot of fun to jam to!
