Class Actress - "Keep You"

Eighties' synth-pop and new-wave blend nicely with some really mesmerizing vocals in Class Actress' newest single "Keep You". The American electro-pop act will release this fall their debut album Rapprocher via Carpark Records. In the meantime if you like the single you can download it for free.

Evelyn Evelyn - "Sandy Fishnets" (official video)

I absolutely love this. Melancholic, gloomy, haunting. It sound as it was written for a Tim Burton movie. So beautiful it is that I simply can't take my eyes off it.

VHS or Beta - "I Found A Reason"

Bleached – "Think Of You"

Cool new track from sister duo Bleached, both members of LA-based Mika Miko. The song is actually a pretty good indie-pop and is included in the sisters' upcoming “Carter” 7″.

Bos Angeles

We are young, we are free
Keep our teeth nice and clean
See our friends, see the sights
Feel alright

Well today I accidentally stumbled upon a song which reminded me of the above few lines from Supergrass' "Alright". The song in question is "Days Of Youth" and it brought memories of summer and careless days. To be honest the whole demo which you can hear below is filled with the essence if youth and the feeling of freedom. These lads from England make music that fuses catchy pop tunes with some surf vibes and all that is complemented with some really good lo-fi post-rock noises. This is the kind of music that will make your summer experience well worth it.

I like french music but this one isn't french. On the contrary it's Canadian, it comes from Montreal and the clip is super-cute. I personally like it a lot. Here's the latest (for now) video from Canadian rocker Panache for his song "Filles et Garçons: un dilemme" from his new eponymous album.

Robyn - "Call Your Girlfriend" (official video)

The swedish pop-princess Robyn just released the video for her latest single "Call Your Girlfriend" from Body Talk. Really nicely done electro-pop with a really strong 80's vibe about it. In the video Robyn shows some interesting dance moves which I'm sure won't land her a role in one of those dance flicks but nevertheless to pull such moves with a pair of pink sneakers on takes a lot of guts which obviously the cute dame has.

Hafdís Huld

Lately I've been into some icelandic music. I'm sure you noticed that. And that has nothing to do with volcanoes and ash clouds. It's just that from this island-nation comes some really interesting, innovative and fresh musicians which I'm constantly mesmerized by. Here's one that probably doesn't need an introduction but still I have to write something. Already famous in her own country, Hafdís Huld is virtually unknown in my part of the world. She's been involved with GusGus at age 15, later starts a solo career. Two albums and couple of singles later this charming icelandic pop singer seems to have plenty of energy to make at least that much albums.

Seapony

Despite the odd name Seapony is one really charming american indie-pop band incorporating some surf-pop elements. Below you can check the sreaming of their debut release Go With Me via Subpop/Hardly Art. Seapony's laid-back sound is a good choice for a soundtrack to one long summer vacation full of good emotions, long waves and lots of sunlight. Need more? Get 'em now!

Nite Versions X Futurecop! – Macho Man Randy Savage Mix (Nite Versions Mix)

Here's something really fresh. Great mix done by british duo Futurecop! and remixed by Nite Versions as part of his new Mix Series. The mix is dedicated to the recently deceased american wrestling legend Randy "Macho Man" Savage and it pays tribute to the 80's sound. The premise of the mix is as described by Nite Versions “A childhood 80s TV soundtrack meets 21st century indie-electro". Check it as it's well worth it and head over to Nite Versions' soundcloud to grab the mix!

Interesting video and a nice song by american musician Twin Shadow off his debut record Forget.

Treefight For Sunlight - "Facing The Sun" (video)

Danish indie-pop band Treefight For Sunlight's video for "Facing The Sun" from their self-titled album released early this year via Bella Union Records.

Kiss Kiss Kiss - "Flesh" (video)

Here's something for the summer. Nice song with a cute girl and lots of skateboarding. Just what I like. Alright, so this cool video belongs to danish indie-pop/rock band Kiss Kiss Kiss from their album Release the Birds.

Lana Del Rey - Video Games/Kinda Outta Luck

There's something about this girl that reminds me of Brigitte Bardot. She's gorgeous and has a great voice. Lana Del Rey's dark poppy songs evoke in me comparisons with Nancy Sinatra and thoughts of the sixties with its libertine girls. Gotta admit that her look is simply mesmerizing and her music is truly wonderful. For fans of... well... hm... old times (with a twist). Who needs Gaga or Britney when you got this?
