B.E.F. - Music For Stowaways / Music For Listening To
This one is for Rom!
B.E.F. is short for British Electric Foundation, a group formed by Martyn Ware and Ian Craig Marsh, previously of Human League and eventually Heaven 17 with Glenn Gregory. Their first release was 1980's Music For Stowaways, a collection of instrumentals released only on cassette specifically for portable Stowaway tape machines, the initial name for the British release of Sony's Walkman. It was partially reissued on vinyl as Music For Listening To although that version edited and removed some tracks while including one brand new recording. In 1997 a proper CD edition was issued featuring the complete versions of all the tracks from Music For Stowaways and Music For Listening To which is the version featured here. So grab this and get your creepy British synth music freak out on!
