Michael Cera Ready With "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" - Early Review And Movie Trailer

The Fall movie season is starting to heat up, and on deck this week is the Michael Cera comedy "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" due October 3.

Cera, known for his roles in "Juno", "Superbad" and the cult favorite television series "Arrested Development", once again shows us why moviegoers love the young actor.

Michael Cera plays high school student Nick O'Leary, a member of the Queercore band "The Jerk Offs", who meets Norah Silverberg (Kat Dennings), and she asks him to be her boyfriend for five minutes while Nick is still getting over his recent breakup with his one true love Tris.

But everything falls apart when Nick sees Tris out and about with another man.

How could she have moved on so fast?

Nick, in a desperate attempt to show Tris he's moved on also, turns to Norah and asks her to be his five-minute girlfriend. This begins the night of Nick, Norah and Manhattan, which consists of stripping nuns, hotel ice rooms, Russian food, psychotic ex-boyfriends and lovingly trashy ex-girlfriends. It's the night of Julio and Salvatore, holding hands and writing songs and singing in the rain.

It's a night they'll never forget - but wish they could.

Michael Cera told reporters at the movie premier,

"It's not a teen film. The movie is really about that vibe you have when you meet someone great on one night and then run the risk of losing him or her forever.

Just don't dig too deep when it comes to the grand meaning of it all.

It's not something I've personally gone through or a fantasy for me, it's just the story, you know - just the way the script was written."

Cera will also be seen next year in the Harold Ramis adventure comedy "Year One", starring Cera and Jack Black. Cera will play a man in the biblical age, where after a couple of lazy hunter-gatherers (Black and Cera) are banished from their primitive village, they set off on an epic journey through the ancient world.

Cera is currently filming the romantic comedy "Youth in Revolt" due in April, where he plays the character Nick Twisp. The film revolves around Nick, a 14-year-old boy whose trailer trash parents are teetering on the edge of divorce. Nick sets his sights on his dream girl Sheeni Saunders (Portia Doubleday), hoping that she'll be the one to take away his virginity.

Adnan Ghalib Claims To Have Britney Spears Sex Tape

With friends like Adnan Ghalib, who needs enemies?

Ex Spears boyfriend Adnan recently told Heat Magazine that he is in possession of a sex tape involving Britney Spears, and is shopping it around for the best price.

The sex tape, allegedly made during the short time Ghalib dated the singer, is said to have been made in Mexico with Spears wearing only a pink wig. Remember the pink wig? Remember when she flew to Mexico to meet Mel Gibson during her breakdown just so she could "Get Away" for a while?

Adnan also told the magazine the sex tape was over two hours long, and he would sell it if the price were high enough. He also said,

"I won't discuss prices for hypothetical inquiries. Unless there is a locked-in deal, I will go no further."

Spears attorneys must be foaming at the mouth over this one, as a nasty and public legal battle would surly ensue over the tape.

Also, Spears returned to the courtroom last week to appeal her driving without a licenses charge. Attorney J. Michael Flanagan filed a petition in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday seeking a stay in the criminal case.

Flanagan also wants an appellate judge to order the judge overseeing the case to grant Spears' motion to dismiss.

The 26-year-old singer is scheduled to go on trial in October on a single misdemeanor charge that she did not have a valid California license when she hit a parked car in August 2007 and left the scene.

Spears also has a new album "Circus" due to be released on December 2, and is planning a possible world tour next year.

Heather Locklear Arrested For DUI

Heather Locklear was arrested Saturday night on suspicion of driving while impaired. The actress was pulled over while driving near Santa Barbara California.

Law enforcement officers told reporters that alcohol was not involved, which means they suspect some type of drugs, and are conducting tests to determine if Locklear was under the influence.

Locklear was released on her own recognizance, without having to post bail.

News reports said on Saturday that a witness saw Locklear driving irregularly while leaving a parking lot. A California Highway Patrol officer later located her car parked on the side of the road and blocking traffic near Santa Barbara, about 90 miles northwest of Los Angeles.

The officer believed Locklear was under the influence and arrested her.

Locklear gained television stardom appearing in the television shows "T.J. Hooker", "Dynasty", "Melrose Place" and "Spin City". Locklear will also be seen next year in the Miley Cyrus family comedy "Hannah Montana: The Movie".

Saturday Night Live Spoofs Presidential Debate - Video

Saturday Night Live was on fire last night. If not for their opening skit with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler as Sarah Palin and Katie Couric, then for the spoof of the Presidential debate last week.

When asked about the War in Iraq, Hammond as McCain said that he had wanted the troop surge since 1985, before the war even started.

And when criticized by Obama (Fred Armisen) that he had supported George Bush 95% of the time, Hammond responded that he had never supported President Bush, had always undermined him, abandoned his party, and was disloyal and untrustworthy to the office.

When asked how he would deal with nuclear weapons in North Korea, Obama (Armisen) said he would play the race card with North Korea.

The best part of the skit was the ending, when the camera panned to Amy Poehler as Hilary Clinton, who had shown up just in case McCain didn't make it on time.

Tina Fey Returns As Sarah Palin For Katie Couric Skit On SNL - Video

Tina Fey returned to Saturday Night Live last night to reprise her role as Alaska Governor Sara Palin.

This time, it was to spoof the horrendous interview the Vice President nominee had with news anchor Katie Couric last week.

As usual, the skit was spot-on. Amy Poehler played the part of Couric, and of course, Tina Fey played Sarah Palin. Amy Poehler asked Sarah Palin what she thought of her trip to New York so far, and Palin's answers were classic.

Fey told Poehler she was shocked because she had "at least 15 to 20 false alarms" where she thought she spotted Osama Bin Laden driving a taxi, and in an effort to "bone up" on foreign policy had visited Time Square to see a movie called "The Bush Doctrine", but was disappointed when the film had nothing to do with politics.

When asked about her trip to the United Nations, Palin (Fey) told Couric (Poehler) that she was disheartened at all the "foreign people" that were there, and that when her and McCain are elected they will work hard to "get those jobs" back in the hands of Americans.

When asked about John McCain shutting down his campaign to work on the economic crisis, and the $700 billion bailout, Tina Fey responded with a convoluted, econo-babble, sound-bite heavy response that made absolutely no sense at all. The live audience loved it. Amy Poehler was great as Katie Couric, with her puzzled looks and uneasy body language.

When asked what lessons she had learned from the Iraq war, and how she would spread democracy, Palin was not able to give specific responses. After being asked again, Fey told Poehler, "I'd like to use one of my life-lines. I'd like to phone a friend".

The skit was classic old-school SNL at its best.

Actor Paul Newman Dies Of Cancer - He Was 83

Paul Newman, the Oscar Award winning actor, and husband of Joanne Woodward, known for his suave roles in movies such as "Cool Hand Luke" and "The Color of Money" has died from lung cancer.

Paul Newman was 83, and is survived by his wife, five children, two grandsons and his older brother Arthur Newman.

Newman's death occurred Friday evening at his home following a long battle with lung cancer, publicist Jeff Sanderson said. His family and close friends surrounded Newman to the end.

During the course of his career, Paul Newman was nominated for ten Academy Awards, winning one Oscar and two honorary awards, and starred in over fifty motion pictures, including "Exodus," "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid," "The Verdict," "The Sting" and "Absence of Malice", 'Cool Hand Luke", "The Hustler" and "The Color Of Money" to name only a few.

Newman's list of movies is too long to list here, and we invite you to review his esteemed career and list of works provided here: "Paul Newman Site At IMDB".

In addition to acting, Newman was an activist, a racecar owner and driver, and popcorn entrepreneur. He was a also best friend to fellow actor Robert Redford, who created the "Sundance film Festival".

Newman became a racecar owner and formed a partnership with Carl Haas, starting Newman/Haas Racing in 1983, and joined the CART series. Hiring Mario Andretti as their first driver, the team was an instant success, and throughout the last 26 years, the team - now known as Newman/Haas/Lanigan and part of the IndyCar Series - has won 107 races and eight series championships.

Newman had a soft spot for underdogs in real life, giving over $250 million to charities through his food company and foundation "Newman's Own", and setting up camps for severely ill children through his "Hole In The Wall" camps program.

In May 2007, he told ABC's "Good Morning America" he had given up acting, though he intended to remain active in charity projects saying.

"I'm not able to work anymore as an actor at the level I would want to," he said. "You start to lose your memory, your confidence, your invention. So that's pretty much a closed book for me."

Newman had two daughters, Susan and Stephanie, and a son, Scott, from a previous marriage to Jacqueline Witte. Scott died in 1978 of an accidental overdose of alcohol and Valium. After his only son's death, Newman established the Scott Newman Foundation to finance the production of anti-drug films for children.

Thanks for a great life Mr. Newman. The world will miss you.

Kirk Cameron Sets Box Office On Fire With "Fireproof" - Review And Movie Trailer

Kirk Cameron has not been seen on a movie screen in seven years, but guess who is the hottest ticket heading into the weekend?

With regard to advance sales, Cameron's dramatic "Fireproof", a super low-budget marriage themed family Christian drama opening in 800 theaters, has out-sold Shia LaBeouf's $105 million, country-wide opening of thriller "Eagle Eye".

But don't let the numbers fool you. The concept of advanced sales doesn't always shed accurate light on the long-term success of a film. In fact, it can be downright misleading. Industry analysts are not surprised, and believe the religious nature of the film lends itself to aggressive group sales.

That market for "Fireproof" is largely made up of churchgoers and secular Christian groups, the audiences that helped make Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ" a blockbuster, and the popular "Left Behind" book series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins.

Christian leader James Dobson's Focus on the Family highly commended "Fireproof", and talked-up the film relentlessly on his radio shows, even airing an interview with Kirk Cameron.

And the Baptist Press urged readers: "Get your church behind it. Mark the weekend of Sept. 26-28 on your calendar. And go see it."

"Fireproof" made up over 40 percent of all advance sales this week on Fandango and Movietickets.com , the services said. "Eagle Eye" came in second.

Kirk Cameron, 37, became famous with his role on the television series "Growing Pains", and has recently become known for his work with his Christian ministry and the TBN show, "The Way of the Master". Cameron also starred in the first two movies from the Rapture-focused "Left Behind" series.

"Fireproof" stars Kirk Cameron as Caleb Holt, who lives by the old firefighter's adage: Never leave your partner behind. Inside burning buildings, it's his natural instinct. In the cooling embers of his marriage, it's another story.

After a decade of marriage, Caleb and Catherine Holt (Erin Bethea ) have drifted so far apart that they are ready to move on without each other. Yet as they prepare to enter divorce proceedings, Caleb's dad asks his son to try an experiment: "The Love Dare".

While hoping The Love Dare has nothing to do with his parents' newfound faith, Caleb commits to the challenge. But can he attempt to love his wife while avoiding God's love for him? Will he be able to demonstrate love over and over again to a person that's no longer receptive to his love? Or is this just another marriage destined to go up in smoke?

Four-door Audi A1 headed to Paris

The small car market is heating up fast, even for upmarket brands like Audi, Mercedes-Benz and BMW, the latter of which has the majority of the market cornered with its MINI sub-brand. The Bimmer competitor from Ingolstadt plans on attacking that market with its A1 subcompact, but unlike the Metroproject concept from Tokyo, the new A1 due to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show will sport four
