BROTHER - Darling Buds Of May/Still Here

Britpop revival, Oasis-ripoff or the next big UK thing. In any case these young lads sound damn good. So far they got one album Famous Last Words and a couple of singles but they look like if they were formed like fifteen years ago they could have been huge by now. Maybe little too late but still Brother's one really good band that deserves to make it big. They sure have the potential for that.

Yeti

Here's an english band that you've probably never heard of unless you're a fan of britpop and especially of The Libertines. Nevertheless the chances are that you will never hear of them. It's not that they're no good or something. It's just that outside of the UK they're virtually unknown and probably will remain so unless you stumbled upon them or someone tell you about them. Me I've found out about the band by chance and only because they were featured on publicity campaign by Energie Jeans some years ago. I remember looking at the photos and wondering who are those guys. Thy looked cool enough to make me wanna buy a pair of Energie jeans which I eventually did. Around that time I become interested in the band (which I first saw on the website of the italian jeans manufacturer). What I like about Yeti is their melodic sound that immediately catches the ear. Not a revolutionary music but definitely one worth listening to.
Yeti are a refreshing blend of reverence, style and pure talent, showcasing just how stylish British rock music can be. Marrying exquisite musicianship and songwriting that cuts straight to the core, Yeti’s sound is at once timeless and effortless. Critics have compared the band’s sound to “pre-rock” Beatles, The La’s, The Kinks, The Byrds, The Coral, Pink Floyd and Love.
