Here's one super-charming indie-rock band from Chicago, Illinois, named after the sunny state of California (for reasons unknown). Their music combines synth-pop tunes with dreamy guitars to produce some really wonderful songs. They haven't been very productive - one EP so far, Affair, but still the little material they've released is really good. It's the perfect soundtrack for the spring.
