January 2011 Mixtape: play the game

It was recently suggested that I try making a mix similar to what people do on SoundCloud, where you can stream that mix at any time. I thought this was a good idea, but I was disappointed to find that SoundCloud's free package only covers two hours of uploaded content, so while I'm giving this a try, I'm not guaranteeing any future SoundCloud mixes and will still be making them available for download here. That said, this mix is also an experiment because it's one track and I'm not giving out the track list up front. There are tracks here that I'm sure most people will recognize but I thought it might be fun if I posted the mix as is and asked people to figure out which track is which without the list. I'll post the list at some point in the near future but let's give this a shot and see what happens. The SoundCloud stream is below, from which you can download the mix, but there is also a link for a higher quality MP3 version below the stream. Let me know what you think!

And while I've got your attention, a few other things. The next Prince Homemade Deluxe Edition will probably be 1999 and should show up in about two weeks. I'm making covers for all of the releases and I'll eventually post them all together so you can grab them at your convenience. TONS MORE to come and there will be an announcement soon regarding a project I'm planning.

Finally, here is a bonus track not on the mixtape for all to check out, but I'm not gonna say who this is either, so guess and let me know. If no one says who it is before I post the mixtape track list I'll announce it then. Be forewarned, this track could give some people a seizure!
